In Search of a Swimming Hole

The other night, Coulee and I, met up with Constance and Paisley to search for a decent swimming hole.  We didn't find one.

What we did find was a reservoir that either had large rocks, wetland or sludge around the edges.  We originally thought this sludge was a bit of a beach-like area but the dogs quickly figured out it wasn't solid.

Sorry the photo is crap - I didn't have my camera set up yet but I didn't want to miss the shot!

Paisley managed to get wet and dirty, yet not do much swimming

She played a lot of keep away!

And spent a lot of her time on the shore encouraging Coulee in her swimming.

And by encouraging, I mean barking at her.  She was Coulee's personal cheerleader.  Coulee seems to bring out this behaviour in other dogs. Paisley reminded me of another black and white friend (not that I'm mentioning names)

We finally decided swimming was a bust and headed for the nearby farmer's field.

By this time I think Coulee was reaching the end of her patience...

We all had fun though!  Thanks Constance.  We'll have to find a better place for next time!
