Back at Last

We finally got our old walking spot back. It is a provincial park, so it is pretty busy in the summer. But now that the kids are back in school it should be fairly deserted - at least mid week.  And it couldn't have happened at a better time as we ran into this dude on the weekend at our old spot...

Prairie Rattlesnake

Coulee's ball landed within 2 feet of this little dude and we had a tense moment or two as Coulee tried to investigate the tiny shaking noise coming from the grass.

Now we get see cute dudes like this one instead.

The debate on facebook is whether or not he's a long tailed weasel or a ferret.

Lacey was so taken by his cuteness she could only stop and stare.

If you look close he is the light pillar in the upper left corner.

Coulee was happy to be able to swim again.

And she even did some modelling for me with a Bionic toy.

I think we were all happy to be back!
