Boring as Snot

Yup. Boring as snot. That is what my life has been this past week.  I've been walking in the same old spot, taking the same old pictures, going to the same old job and coming home and going to bed early because I've just been so darn tired for some reason!  Then I wake up super early and am tired the next day. I can't seem to break the cycle.

The girls at least are still having fun.  Coulee's feet have been pain free for about a month now.  Yippee.  It is the longest stretch we've had in a long, long time and we've been doing lots of running and fetching while we can.  I've been afraid to mention it and therefore ruin the streak but I fear the streak is ruined anyway.  She was running along fabulously yesterday until suddenly she wasn't.  She didn't seem to be in pain last night but we are taking the day off today anyway just in case.  She's got two big cracks - one in each back foot - that I think have finally hit the pain threshold.

Lacey is being as cute and sassy as ever.  Her and Jack have been having fun evenings together spooning and linking all their limbs together.  It has been super cute but I can't get a picture because I'm usually in bed with them and getting up would ruin the moment.

I'm going to attempt some posed Christmas shots this weekend with the girls.  It will either be awesome or super frustrating.  I'm hoping for awesome but we'll see.  Posing is not my forte although it is nice to work with dogs that actually know how to stay. I'm going to be playing around with Christmas lights bokeh and I don't know what I'm doing so wish me luck.  :)

Oh and I managed to not have the time and/or energy for 3 days in a row for the I Heart Faces photo thing so I guess that project is down the tubes.  I might still try and tackle some of them but at the rate I'm going it doesn't look good.

Coulee's Pics

As promised here are Coulee's pictures from the beach...

Lacey beat her to the toy.

Getting pats from Marlin.

Waiting for me to put the camera down and pick up the toy.

Family pic...

Lacey out in front (I edited out her big noggin in this one.)

Our "usual" formation.

I'm pretty sure I'm taking a picture of Lacey and Coulee is dropping a toy at my feet.

This one cracks me up.  No one is looking in the same direction.

Signs of Aging

Can you see it?

Lacey's one tiny white hair on her forehead?

I've found myself cloning it out of a few photos lately.  Maybe it is time to break out the black hair dye.

Elf

So I decided to torture the dogs with an Elf hat.  My only regret is that I didn't stop to clean the floors first.  Told you - I'm a lazy photographer.  :)

Lacey didn't mind the hat because it meant cookies.

Coulee was NOT amused.

Beach Day

Yesterday was Marlin's birthday.  We had an awesome breakfast, took the dogs for a long walk on the beach, went out for dinner and watched the new James Bond movie.  It was a good day but the only part with pictures was the beach.

Only the edge of the lake is frozen.

As usual, Lacey lost her mind on the sand.

Coulee caught in an "illegal" move!

We strapped the GoPro to her thinking we'd get tonnes of cool shots when she went to catch the frisbee.

No such luck.  :(  But I did manage to "ruin" all of these by having her wear a big ass camera contraption on her back.  Good thing she won't mind doing this again another day minus the camera.

Marlin and Lacey are so cute together.

We tried putting the camera on backwards too because we suspected her head would be blocking a lot of pictures.

The good news was it was obviously pretty comfortable as it didn't seem to hinder her at all.

The bad news is, she really didn't get very many good shots.  Having it under the chin is better, but impossible to keep clean.  I'm not sure what to try next.  I'll post some of her pics in the next day or two.

December Photo Challenge

So I'm going to attempt the I Heart Faces photo challenge... It is kind of a crazy month to be doing this in, but I've been getting stuck in a rut lately and I'm hoping this will help kick start me out.

So seeing at it is December 1, I started with a self portrait.  Or at least I attempted a self portrait.  As always seems to happen when I haul the camera out, I get visitors.

I'm a pretty lazy photographer... I was too lazy to get the remote so I attempted some hand held ones - which of course never look good.

Then I went and got the remote.  It didn't seem to help.  LOL

Oh well.  The entire month of pictures can't go this badly can they?

Dog on a Log

Oh the things Lacey will do for a cookie.  :)  She actually walked up this log and is standing higher than my waist.  I didn't want to back any more to get a better perspective in case she started to panic and wanted off.

While it looks like I'm being a copy cat, I actually took this a few days ago.  LOL
